Yeah, it scans as fast as tapping your phone to pay for anything like a Chick-fil-A.

I updated it and added three modes so that you don’t have to use hardware

Sweet sweet the setup takes less than 10 seconds actually. Just need your flag

True true I agree. The chest pack has a really nice hard cover on the face so no worries there but if you flip it open to check the phone then yeah nothing stopping this bbs.

I guess the point of the app is either Use martial arts and parkour to win or guns and such. Not enough data to figure rankings appeal or prize pools

RabbitJak thank you for the warm welcome!! I really want to make parkour an inspiration sport hence a location, objective game that makes you move.

World chase tag inspired me

That’s actually a fair observation.
It probably is closer to “capture the enemy base” than traditional capture the flag.

The RFID/NFC side isn’t really there to replace the objective. It’s there to verify objectives and eliminations without needing referees.

For example:

• Base flags are scanned to establish bases and verify captures.
• Player flags can be scanned after being detached to record who eliminated who.
• The app keeps track of teams, objectives, timers, eliminations, and match results.

The more feedback I get, the more I think it’s less of an airsoft mode and more of a location-based objective game that could be played with airsoft, Nerf, football flags, or even just an honor system.

The goal was never really to make a better version of traditional CTF, but to create a game where real-world locations become the map.

Nice check in 👍🫡 yeah okay I can make and send samples no problem. I’m actually using a NRF with a magnetic hallsenor for the separation event. The nfc is just a way the user can scan the separated flag to know who pulled who. The app is extremely intuitive, simple, and smoothe. My concern is will people actually run around.

You can pull and scan the guy out with your phone
Or involve airsoft and shoot them so they self-out

I think that’s actually the biggest thing I’ve learned from this thread. The goal wasn’t really to make a better version of airsoft CTF. It was to create a location-based objective game that could be played with different rule sets depending on the group.
Airsoft players would probably play it differently than Nerf players, parkour athletes, or a group of friends in a park.
The app mainly handles the objectives, bases, teams, eliminations, and match state while the group decides how players interact with each other.

The detachable flag system was my attempt to create a physical objective/elimination mechanic that works outside of airsoft fields as well.

Great questions.

A few things have actually changed since I made the infographic.

The app actually does confirm eliminations, but only after a player’s flag has been detached and scanned.
The current system works like this:

- Every player wears a smart flag.
- If an opponent removes your flag, they can scan the NFC tag attached to that flag.
- The app records who eliminated who and removes that player from the match.
- There are currently no respawns, medics, or bleed-out timers. Once your flag is scanned, you’re eliminated for the remainder of the match.

The current objective is no longer “reach the enemy zone.” Players must scan the enemy Base Flag while their own flag remains attached. Simply entering an area is not enough to win.

The reattach mechanic shown in the image is outdated. Once a player’s flag is detached and scanned, that player is eliminated for the remainder of the match.
Appreciate the feedback though because you actually pointed out some areas where my current infographic no longer matches the latest rules.

Yeah!
That’s a fair question. The app isn’t meant to replace a flag football belt or a physical flag. The physical game can absolutely work without the app.

The app’s purpose is to manage the match itself:

Team creation and invites
Live team map
Base locations
Match timer
Objective tracking
Win/loss validation
Player status
Match history and stats
Money wagering

Think of it less like a replacement for the flag and more like a referee, scoreboard, and game organizer that everyone carries in their pocket.

The physical flags and bases are the game. The app just helps coordinate everything.

Haven’t launched yet but app is already done. I just haven’t released it to the App Store.

Each smart flag has a separation sensor . The NFC is a separate chip on the flag That makes it scannable so we know who got who out. That part can be purchased from Amazon by a 20 pack.

An NFC will go on your smart flag and home base flag

Good point I’m new to parkour culture i suppose that wouldnt apply to this. There has to be a winner and loser. Including possibilities of money pools.

Bro, thanks for saying this, but I went inside the Airsoft group and I literally posted the exact same thing and they all said it would be too much of a hassle.

I’ve never done airsoft. I’ve never done parkour, but I am an athlete however I am 30 so I much rather not have to physically run around and grab the flag, but I don’t mind shooting them from a distance or avoiding oops to get to the base flag.

Any more thoughts?
