The Family Welcome Event is a warm and engaging gathering designed to introduce families to the community, resources, and opportunities available to them. It provides a friendly space for connection, helping families feel informed, supported, and excited about the experiences ahead.
OLLI is partnering with For All Ages, a CT-based non-profit that creates meaningful opportunities for people of all ages to connect, learn, and thrive, improving mental and physical health along the way. The partnership will host Good Neighbor Day at the UConn Waterbury campus. This will be a morning of panel discussions and presentations related to strengthening community connections with particular emphasis on older adults. The afternoon will be devoted to several volunteer projects on and off campus.
Avoid immunization holds by stopping by our on-campus vaccine clinic which will offer Flu, COVID, HPV, TDAP, Hep B, Hep A, MMR, MCV, and Pneumonia, sponsored by CVS Health. This will be available to all students, staff and faculty in the main lobby. Please bring your insurance card and photo ID!
Students in Allied Health Sciences Research Methods courses will present their innovative health-related research proposals in a professional poster symposium. UConn faculty, staff, and students; as well as community members are welcome to attend.
