Zadovoljstvo mi je da poželim dobrodošlicu ministru spoljnih poslova Srbije, @markodjuric u Helsinki. Potvrdili smo dobre bilateralne odnose i razgovarali o proširenju EU. Finska podržava evropski put Srbije i ohrabruje sprovođenje reformi za pristupanje EU.

A pleasure to welcome Serbia’s Foreign Minister @markodjuric to Helsinki. We confirmed our good bilateral relations and had a useful exchange of views, especially on EU enlargement. Finland supports Serbia’s EU path and encourages Serbia to implement EU-related reforms.

Glasanje u Narodnoj skupštini kojim se ograničava nezavisnost pravosuđa predstavlja ozbiljan korak unazad na evropskom putu Srbije. U vremenu kada postoji značajan zamah za proširenje, dok 🇲🇪 i 🇦🇱 brzo napreduju, 🇷🇸 rizikuje da krene u suprotnom smeru. To nije ono što želimo.

The vote of Serbia’s Parliament to limit the independence of the judiciary is a serious step back on Serbia's EU path. At a time of great progress for enlargement, when Montenegro & Albania are moving fast, Serbia risks taking the opposite direction. This is not what we want.

Serbiassa on viime kuukausina ollut laajamittaisia protesteja lähes päivittäin. Pääasiassa niiden takana ovat olleet opiskelijat. Hallinto on tukahduttanut mielenosoituksia myös väkivalloin. Vierailin Serbian pääkaupungissa Belgradissa perehtymässä tilanteeseen Etyjin
