FREE Creative Clubs for 11–18s in West London on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and school holidays. Open to young people from any school across London.
At G:Ventures, you don’t sit in classrooms.
You work in the same professional studios used by the media industry and Global Academy students. You’ll create real projects, build confidence, meet like-minded young creatives and start developing skills that actually matter.
G:Ventures is delivered by qualified teachers and industry professionals in a fully supervised, safe school environment. All sessions take place at Global Academy in Hayes. Full details and consent forms are sent after registration.

DJ Lab (ages 11-15)
Mix like a pro.
Learn beat-matching, transitions and performance skills using professional decks and software.
Build confidence, musical timing and live performance energy.
Led by DJ Dynamic (Capital XTRA) on Wednesdays from 5pm – 7pm for ages 11–15.
Future Filmmakers (ages 11-14 and 15+)
Plan it. Shoot it. Edit it.
Work like a real film crew using professional cameras, lighting, green-screen spaces and edit suites to bring your ideas to life.
Develop storytelling, cinematography and editing skills while creating short films you’ll be proud to share.
Whether you’re just starting out or ready to level up, there’s a pathway for you:
Ages 11–14 Foundation
Wednesdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Create your own short films with hands-on guidance, learning the foundations of filmmaking and production.
Ages 15–18 Advanced
Thursdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Take on bigger projects, advanced techniques and industry-standard workflows using professional kit and pro-level production methods.
Music Production (ages 11-14 and 15+)
Create your sound.
Work in a professional recording studio to make beats, record vocals and produce original music using industry-standard software.
Start your journey or take your production to the next level:
Foundation | Ages 11–14
Wednesdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Learn how to build beats, record tracks and understand the fundamentals of music production. Collaborate, experiment and develop your style.
Advanced | Ages 15–18
Sundays | 12:00pm – 2:00pm
Create, mix and master professional-quality tracks using advanced production techniques. Refine your sound, build a portfolio and work like a real producer.
Sports Broadcaster
Cover live sport like a real commentator.
Commentate, present and analyse matches using professional microphones and studio equipment.
Develop confidence, quick thinking and broadcast delivery skills.
Thursdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm | Ages 15–18
On Air
Become the voice everyone listens to.
Step into a real radio studio and create live shows, podcasts and broadcast content using professional software and equipment.
Whether you’re starting out or ready to take control of the desk, there’s a level for you:
Foundation | Ages 11–14
Wednesdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Learn how to plan a show, write scripts, record links and build confidence behind the mic. Perfect for beginners who want to explore presenting and production.
Advanced | Ages 15–18
Thursdays | 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Run the station. Produce live shows. Take on advanced broadcast roles including producer, presenter and technical operator. Designed for young broadcasters ready to lead.

Is it really free?
Yes. G:Ventures is completely free to attend.
There are no hidden costs, no membership fees and no equipment to buy. All workshops, studio access, materials and (on weekday sessions) a hot meal are included.
The programme is funded through the Million Hours Fund, allowing us to provide high-quality creative opportunities at no cost to families.

Do I need experience?
Not at all.
G:Ventures is designed for beginners and those who want to build their skills further. Whether your young person has never picked up a camera or already creates content at home, there is a Foundation and Advanced pathway to suit them.
All sessions are guided by experienced teachers and industry professionals who support young people at every stage.

Can I attend every week?
Yes – and we encourage it.
Young people can attend weekly sessions during term time and selected holiday programmes. Regular attendance helps them build skills, confidence and stronger creative projects.
If you cannot attend every week, that’s okay too – just let us know.

Is it safe?
Absolutely.
All sessions take place at Global Academy in Hayes within a fully supervised school environment.
Workshops are delivered by qualified teachers and trusted industry professionals. Safeguarding and student wellbeing are our priority at all times.

G:Ventures for Global Academy Students
At Global Academy, G:Ventures is compulsory for all students every Wednesday from 3 to 4 PM. It’s a chance to spend time with classmates outside the classroom and try something new. From media and entertainment to the Duke of Edinburgh, students gain a wider experience that helps them build a strong CV for future opportunities.
