As children, we are often taught that being “good” means following the rules, listening to authority, and complying with expectations. A “difficult” child is one who questions, challenges, or defies. But as we step into the workplace, do we reward compliance over innovation? Do we unintentionally stifle creativity by expecting employees to simply follow instructions? Innovation does not thrive in environments of blind compliance. Progress is driven by those who question, challenge, and push boundaries. Leaders who truly want to foster innovation should: 1️⃣ Encourage Constructive Dissent – Allow space for disagreement and critical thinking.
